One Place Finder is a local search directory built around a simple idea: whatever you need — a plumber at midnight, a dentist that takes walk-ins, a lawyer for a specific kind of case — you should be able to search once and get something useful back.
We're a search and directory site covering ten everyday categories: home repair (plumbing, HVAC, electrical), locksmiths, auto and towing, dental and urgent care, restaurants, retail shops, beauty and wellness, legal services, and moving/cleaning. Every category page combines two things: a short, genuinely useful guide written for that specific situation, and a list of local businesses — some sponsored (clearly labeled), some pulled from open local business data.
We sell a small number of clearly labeled sponsored placements to local businesses in each city and category. We do not accept payment to remove or alter the informational content on a page, and sponsored listings never replace the guidance we write — they sit alongside it. If a listing is paid, it says so. That's the whole model.
A lot of directory sites are just phone numbers with no context. We think the five minutes before you call someone — knowing what to check, what a fair price looks like, what actually counts as an emergency versus what can wait — is worth as much as the phone number itself. So every category page includes that, written specifically for the situation, not generic filler.
Sponsored listings come directly from businesses who've signed up and paid for a placement. Unpaid listings come from open, public map data (OpenStreetMap) where available, or from a directory we maintain ourselves. We do not copy or republish search results from other search engines.
